Auxiliary Coordinates Dialog

Used to select ACS tools.

Note: The display of the ACS Triad in a view is set in the View Attributes dialog.

You can access this dialog from the following:

  • Ribbon: View > Viewing Aids > ACS dialog launcher
  • Ribbon: View > Home > Primary > More split button
  • Toolbox: Primary Tools
  • Default Function key menu: <Ctrl+F9>

SettingDescription
List box The list box displays the active ACS at the top, above the separator, followed by available ACS's, which appear below the separator. Columns in the list are:
  • Name — Displays the name of the ACS.
  • Scale — Displays the scale of the ACS.
  • Origin X — Displays the value, in Global coordinates, of the origin for the ACS X axis.
  • Origin Y — Displays the value, in Global coordinates, of the origin for the ACS Y axis.
  • Origin Z — (3D only) Displays the value, in Global coordinates, of the origin for the ACS Z axis.
  • Orientation — (3D only) Displays the orientation of the model in the ACS.
  • Rotation — Displays the rotation of the model in the ACS.
  • Type — Displays the type of ACS — Rectangular, Cylindrical, or Spherical.
  • Description — Displays the optional description for the ACS.
Note: The Scale, Orientation, and Rotation columns are hidden by default. To display them, right-click the list box's header row and choose them from the pop-up menu.
